Privacy Policy.
How LocalLaunch handles your data, under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
1. Who we are
LocalLaunch is a trading name of Cloud Sherpa Ltd, a company registered in Scotland (company number SC697109), registered office Stewart House, Ardnablane, Dunblane, FK15 0NU. Cloud Sherpa Ltd is the data controller for the information described here. Contact us about your data at hello@locallaunch.uk.
2. What we store
We store the business information used to build and run your site — name, address, phone, opening hours, photos, and the publicly available research we gather about your business (for example from Google and other public listings) — and the contact email you use to sign in to your dashboard.
3. Why we use it (lawful basis)
We process your data to perform our contract with you (building, hosting and billing your site), and on the basis of our legitimate interests in creating a site for your business from public information and in keeping the service secure. Where the law requires it, we rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
4. Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. Your full card details are entered on Stripe's own secure checkout and never touch LocalLaunch's servers — we only ever see a card brand and its last four digits.
5. Who we share it with
We don't sell your data. We share it only with the service providers who help us run LocalLaunch, acting on our instructions: Stripe (payments), Microsoft (Azure hosting and Microsoft 365 email), and Google (the public business data we build your site from). Your data is hosted in the UK/EU.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your data while your subscription is active. When you cancel, your account enters a short grace window and is then deleted. You can ask us to delete it sooner at any time.
7. Cookies
Your dashboard uses a single session cookie to keep you signed in. We don't use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
8. Email
We email you transactional messages only — sign-in links and updates about your site (for example when a redesign is built or goes live). We don't send marketing on behalf of third parties.
9. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our use of your data, and to receive a copy of it. Email hello@locallaunch.uk to make a request. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data you can also complain to the UK's Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
